To provide research, education, and support services to better understand the impact options and alternatives, in addition to or instead of standards of care, have on substance use, PTSD and mental wellness challenges and the associated decrease in quality of life, and to provide an online community to support people with these life challenges who are interested in learning about therapeutic options and alternatives.

SOAR stands for "Support Options and Alternatives for Recovery"The free online, facilitated SOAR support sessions address such themes as Family & Friends, Closure & Change, Finding Identity.
Sessions run for ten weeks, one hour each week. Participants are asked to complete a brief survey at baseline, mid-way through and at the end of the program. There are also follow-up weekly, less structured, drop-in sessions for those who enjoyed the experience.
